Zed (full name: Zachary "Zed" Hoffman) is a former member of Team Revolution; after Team Revolution disbanded, Zed started a family with Dawn and got a job as a mechanical engineer working for Lightning Industries. However, around 4 years after the events of Team Revolution, Zed started to be contacted by Dialga at numerous times via telepathy, who warned him of an impending apocalypse (caused by some group of Pokemon from the future) and said Zed was the only one who could stop it from happening. Looking for answers, Zed forms Team Vengeance, initially without Dawn but Dawn decides she wanted to tag along, leaving their son, Alvis, in Thunder the Jolteon's care. Although married, Zed's laptop still contains "fun stuff," which occasionally leads to arguments with Dawn. Zed is very, very sarcastic, and snarks at almost any opportunity (perfect example of the "Deadpan Snarker" trope!) Zed drinks alcohol excessively and has post-traumatic stress disorder.

Dawn (full name: Dawn Hoffman, née Winters) is Zed's wife, and a researcher on robots. After Zed started receiving messages from Dialga, she encourages him to find answers, initially staying behind to care for their son. However, she soon decides to tag along as Zed will need all the help he can get. Having known Zed for almost her whole life, Dawn cares deeply for Zed and would not want anything bad happening to him. Dawn is very smart and very good with technology and can fix or reprogram just about anything in very little time, which comes in handy very often since so much technology gets broken on the team. However, Dawn can also put up a good fight in battle, and often ends up getting in arguments with other members who make sexist assumptions about her battle capabilities.

Sivir (full name: Dr. Sivir Hoshida, M. D.) is a medical doctor who first met Zed at a bar immediately after he thwarted some of the time travelers' plans. After warning Zed about early signs of alcoholism, they ended up discussing strange pieces of technology that showed up, ultimately concluding that they were tied in with Zed's communications with Dialga. As a medical doctor, Sivir essentially acts as a portable Pokemon Center and often finds herself worrying about Zed's excessive alcohol consumption. While Sivir's battle capabilities are decidedly poor, the other members make it a priority to protect her as her skills as a cleric make her an invaluable asset to the team. She also insists that everyone (except for Zed) calls her Dr. Hoshida instead of Sivir.

Beyond art (Zed won't stop asking him to draw porn,) Donatello's ability to use Sketch is far greater than any other Smeargle: He is capable of not only learning the opponent's moves, but can copy them entirely, inflicting everything they do to the team on them (but he can only use this once a week.) Even with this invaluable asset (and even knowing that Zed wants porn,) Zed threatens to kick Donatello out as he keeps on hitting on Dawn.
